Safety first

Safety is paramount at TheAirBag.net. Let's not forget that the bag was created to make freestyle skiing and snowboarding safer by allowing the user to practise his or her aerial manoeuvres without the fear of not making the landing before taking their skills to the slopes.

In keeping with this ethos we have devised and designed our own airbag concept, which is both design registered and patent pending. By paying close attention not only to its design but also to its function and the way it works we believe we have created the safest facility of its kind!

Our dual chambered, 8 meters wide, 14 meters long 2.5 meters high design allows a double layer of safety by making it impossible to bottom out through the bag and hit the surface below. The bottom chamber also allows a flatter base than other designs preventing movement of the bag. By utilising as many as 8 exhausts on the unit prevents any bouncing or sliding off that could occur if air isn't expelled quick enough. Our design also helps the user dismount safely by using curved collapsible walling.

TheAirBag.net have also undergone SIOTO training (Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization) to make sure we are completely proficient and knowledgeable about what we do. All our electrics are fully tested regularly and in the snow domes we run most of our power at 110 v to maximise safety.

Users are also monitored for there suitability to use the bag both in terms of proficiency and age. Whilst the session is running the operation is constantly manned by a minimum of two staff controlling the drop in points and the frequency which the bag is hit.
